BCOmetastaticretreat

Participants are in a welcoming supportive environment where they can find understanding and support. Exploring feelings and fears is an essential part of the coping process. Moving beyond an intellectual understanding of the disease, there are guided discussions about issues specific to women with metastatic breast cancer, including dealing with difficult feelings, living with advanced breast cancer, decreasing stress as well as discussion groups, writing workshops, low‐impact yoga, acupuncture sessions and much more.

BCOCampLightheart

CAMP LIGHTHEART

A free sleep away camp for children from 8‐14 who have a parent with breast cancer. The campers are in a safe, nurturing and fun‐loving environment. Through activities that are carefully organized by the highly killed staff, the children are given opportunities to talk and share. As with any support group, this lessens their feelings of isolation.

COMPANION/ADVOCATES for Breast CancerRelated Medical Visits

Trained Survivors accompany newly diagnosed patients to medical visits. A Companion Advocate is there for support, to ensure that important questions get asked and answered and to share their experience. Information is confidential. No medical advice is given.
